Here is my first wedding of 2018! Hopefully it will be another fabulous year of many happy couples getting married! :)
Rachel & Brian chose a rustic theme since they like to hunt, fish and can always be found at race tracks. Their reception venue definitely compliments their style and personalities, considering it’s at a race track and is very rustic. In addition to the rustic theme, they chose ocean blue, lime green & snow camo for their colors.
They enjoy snowmobiling also and were hoping for snow for their winter wedding. Unfortunately, February 24th brought them no snow and almost 40 degree weather.
Despite the no snow weather, it was a great day. I arrived at the Holiday Inn on American Parkway to capture getting ready photos of the bride. Then we headed to Angell Park where a bridesmaid blindfolded the groom, and the bride led him to the stage where she took off the blindfold.
After the first look, everyone got inside the limo and we all headed downtown Madison to the State Capitol. We had enough time to do a lot of photos before the ceremony inside the Senate’s Parlor (gorgeous room btw!).
Following the short & sweet ceremony, we headed to Murphy’s Bar where the wedding party enjoyed a few shots. Then back to Angell Park for the real celebration, aka toasts, dinner, cake & dancing. The night ended for me after an epically awesome bouquet and garter toss. :)
