Wesley and Kristi met in boarding school, both of their parents were in the military.
Kristi recently lost both her parents. For some of the guests at the reception and wedding this was the first time getting together since a funeral.

The wedding invitations were what inspired the colors of the wedding, and the centerpieces are all from other countries that Kristi’s family lived in, and visited the past 30 years.

When I asked her what she was looking forward to besides getting married, Kristi said, “Having a great party with all the people she cares about most.”

The wedding was held at the bottom of a hill overlooking the city skyline of Madison and Lake Monona. It was more informal, and small, but so intimate.

The reception was held in the park shelter which has been re-finished to look like an old barn. The inside is white with wood floors, and white rafters.
