James & Antonia met at her best friend’s birthday party a few years ago. After the party they hung out again and the rest is history. :)
They held their wedding at Lambeau Field in Green Bay WI!! As I am a huge Packer fan, I knew I needed to shoot this wedding. It is an honor to have been chosen to be their wedding photographer!
Getting ready at the Hyatt on Main street, the only cool place I could find to hang the dress for dress photos was off the balcony in the Atrium. We were on the 6th floor. It’s not every day that I have a bride that is ok with that. She even said, “if it falls, go down and pick it up, but make sure to get some photos of it falling.”
They hired a wedding coordinator, and I highly recommend doing so if you are thinking about it. It made the day go much smoother, plus someone knew what was going on at all times.
The Friday in September was sunny, warm and extremely windy. The wedding colors were champagne, blush & black. The title town brewery let us use their event room for group photos since it was too windy to do them outside.
Antonia & James got to go out on the field for photos, entering thru the tunnel. Following them out there with my camera with the music and lights flashing was an amazing feeling. I hope it was just as an amazing moment for them. The morning of the wedding, James took his groomsmen on a tour of Lambeau Field. Coach McCarthy came out and gave James a thumbs up. :)
The ceremony was held on the 7th floor rooftop balcony overlooking the field at sunset, and what a gorgeous sunset it was.
Reception was located in the North Loft & 6th Floor Indoor Club. They had it decorated with a sort of lounge atmosphere. All food was buffet and passed appetizers, and super delicious! There was even a mac & cheese bar. After the first dance, the newlyweds and I headed back up the 7th floor rooftop balcony for more photos. The lights on the field were not turned on, but it was nice for the couple to have a few moments alone on their wedding night.
