Madison WI Wedding Photography
Morgan & Jess are married! In case you missed it, you can view their engagement photos here.
They didn’t have much time to plan their wedding, but as you can see from the photos, it doesn’t appear that way. The ceremony and reception were held at the beautiful, rustic, Lussier heritage center in Madison WI. The colors were purple & yellow. As an avid football fan, I immediately thought, “EW! Viking colors!” However, looking back at the photos, the colors blend together beautifully. The weather was perfect, not to hot, not too chilly and it didn’t rain. Morgan is one of 7 children, which is pretty cool. (I have 5 siblings, so I can sort of relate)
Jess & Morgan decided to do a wine box wedding. They put a bottle of wine and love letters they had written to each other into the box and locked it up during the ceremony. On their 5 year anniversary they are supposed to open the box, drink the wine and read the letters. If they have problems or trouble in their marriage before the 5 years, they are supposed to open the box and read the letters and enjoy the wine. I think that’s a really neat idea. I hope they make it to the 5 year mark first!

The DJ, Ted from Your Mix Entertainment did a wonderful job. I’d highly recommend him to others looking for a DJ. He drew up a timeline and had it sent out to all vendors a month before the wedding, plus he stuck to the timeline as much as possible. Very organized and would make announcements so it was easier for me to have a chance to take photos. He had an idea to do silly photos with the bride & groom and each table as fast as possible. People got a little crazy, but it was a lot of fun. He also had this idea to do twirling of the napkins vs clinking of the glasses during the reception. I’ve seen a lot of versions of that, but it’s pretty cool to take photos of a reception hall twirling napkins over their heads than clinking (or breaking!) glasses with their silverware!
