Jen & Charles met at a night club in 2009. Jen says it was love at first sight, and she knew he was the one almost immediately when she looked into his gorgeous eyes.
She knew the proposal was coming, but he surprised her by getting down on one knee at Monona Terrace.
He loves that she has drive & motivation. She loves that he is independent, strong and trust-worthy. Charles has her lips tattooed on his neck in pink. When I first saw it, and heard the story behind it, I was so surprised. But honestly, what a cute way to show your love for the love of your life.
Share with us something silly or quirky the other person does: Jen – Sometimes he looks like he’s having a torret’s outbreak.
Besides getting married, what’s the one thing you are looking forward to on your wedding day? Jen: The party, cake cutting & bringing the family together.
What’s your favorite trend for weddings right now? The wedding shows on tv.
What inspired your decor or theme? July 4th & romance.
What is one thing you wish you would have known earlier in regards to planning? Jen: I would have checked out other venues.

Jen wanted to have her wedding ceremony at the Japanese Gardens at the House on the Rock Attraction. She told me it was too expensive, there wasn’t enough spots for people to sit and it was too far of a walk for some of her guests. I suggested we do bride & groom portraits there since it wasn’t possible to be there for the ceremony. We were allowed to do portraits at the gardens, and they also took us to the Carousel room.
