Finally I have time to sit down and blog about this AMAZING wedding back in May at the Bennett Barn. I’ve been wanting to photograph a wedding at the Bennett Barn for 4 years now, and it totally lived up to the hype. I’ve been inside LOTS of barns in Wisconsin and it is by far the most beautiful!
Shawnna got ready in the bridal room upstairs in the house. She had lockets placed on her bouquet for all the people close to her who have passed on. Her veil was her mothers too.
Everyone walked thru wooden doors to get to the outside ceremony. Guests sat on hay bales covered in quilts. People held up quilts to shield Shawnna from being seen while she walked from the house to the barn and to the wooden doors. It was an absolute gorgeous day for an outdoor ceremony!
They had a navy, mint, gold & rustic themed wedding, and ate pie for dessert instead of cake. On each table were milk jugs from Shawnna’s former Grandfather’s farm. She let her guests take them home.
The couple came up with their hashtag as #CincoDeKrolo in honor of their wedding day and Cinco de Mayo. :) Besides getting married they were looking forward to celebrating with all the people they love and excited to start their future together.
They danced to Dan & Shay’s song “From the Ground Up” for their first dance song, and ended the night with LOTS of dancing in the beautiful Bennett barn.
