Jackson and Brittany met via a Harry Potter fan forum when they were 11 years old and instantly had a connection. They exchanged emails, then instant message IDs, then eventually phone numbers. They would talk for hours after school each day, loving each other’s personality and friendship.
As the years went on, they grew apart, reconnecting every now and then to see how the other one was doing in life. Brittany always felt a connection to him that she couldn’t explain.
In June of 2016, they reconnected on Facebook. They started talking again and Brittany knew almost instantly that he was the man she’d been waiting to marry. Until that day they still had not met face to face!
At the end of July, Brittany flew out to meet him for the first time. It ended up being EXACTLY how she pictured it when she was 11 – walking up to the doorstep of his parents’ house, and him opening the door… a dream quite literally come true.
They hit it off in person as much as they did long distance! The next month he flew out to California to meet her parents. They both felt that this was a forever kind of love, and with both families approving of them, Brittany made the move from California to Wisconsin in November and hasn’t looked back since.
I’m excited to photograph their Harry Potter themed wedding in June! But first, here’s their Harry Potter themed engagement session that we did early November at Riverside Park in Watertown WI. :)
