Beth and Karl met each other at Starved Rock state park in 2007. They were both with other people, on a double date. They had some friendly conversation, but at the end of the day, both went their separate ways.
Fast forward to February 2017, they reconnected on Instagram. It wasn’t long before they were texting and talking on the phone when they weren’t working. In June, they started spending time together, taking turns driving to the other person, and scheduling weekends and vacation time around each other.
In August 2017, Beth got a job in Illinois. The day she moved was the day Karl proposed to her. Beth said she was “laying across the bed, scrolling through facebook on my phone, unwinding after my drive, he came up behind me and when I turned around, got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. I could not imagine sharing my life (and my children) with anyone else. I said “yes” instantly (Okay, I might have said, “Are you serious?” first…), and now our adventure begins.”
It made perfect sense to them to have their wedding at Starved Rock, and on the same date when they originally met. They also requested to have their engagement photos at Starved Rock and it was quite fun to hike and explore the park with them while taking some EPIC photos!
Enjoy what I captured and be on the look out for their March Wedding photos!!
