Carly & Alex were wedded on the hottest September day that I have lived thru to date. I believe it hit 93 degrees.
It was at the Folklore Village where Carly met Alex. Alex was bartending and Carly attended as a guest. It wasn’t long until Carly was going to the bartender asking for a cup of coffee from the self serve coffee bar. Later, Alex was adding cherries to Carly’s glasses of beer. And clearly the rest is history, because here I am now, sharing their wedding photos!
The venue is cute and quaint. The ceremony was held in a small, actually tiny, chapel in the woods. I think it maybe sat 30? people, and there was at least 100 people squished inside. Did I say that it was 93 degrees that day?! They did have a/c, and it was cranked. Regardless of the heat and lack of seating, it was a beautiful, simple ceremony.
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails and yard games in the shade.
None of the plates at the reception matched, it was like they were all from different family sets, joined together at the venue. Dinner was a taco bar, catered by Red Barn Catering. The couple’s aunts and mother’s made &/or provided pies for the guests desserts.
Besides getting married, they were looking forward to seeing everyone and bringing their friends & family together.
After dinner, the couple and I were able to sneak away for a few sunset photos in an open field.
