Shawnna & Mark met online and the rest is history! Mark carefully planned out his proposal and convinced Shawnna to go to an early morning fishing trip with him and some friends. She said she was super excited and was telling everyone at work that she was going to catch a BIG fish. Mark takes her to a pretty area and as they watch the sunrise he proposes. Shawnna was of course super excited, so happy & obviously said yes. She wanted to call her mom and let her know, but Mark convinced her to wait. Then he took her to a restaurant for breakfast and her mom was there waiting for them. Instead of a big fish, Shawnna got a big, gorgeous ring! :)

They are getting married next May at the Bennett Barn, and I’m super excited because I’ve always wanted to photograph a wedding there.

For the engagement session, Shawnna & Mark took me on a little tour around Oconomowoc. We started at Zion Episcopal Church, then to Fowler Park, and ended at Veterans Memorial Park. Gorgeous area and it was so much fun to work with the two of them. They even brought balloons as props!
Enjoy the engagement photos that I have captured and keep an eye out for the wedding photos at the gorgeous Bennett Barn.
