The Couple

Megan & Bryan are from Wisconsin, and met while attending UW-Madison. Bryan has a start up business in Boston and Megan is currently finishing up grad school in Boston.
They traveled to Sri Lanka to pick out the perfect white sapphire to create Megan’s engagement ring. Bryan designed the ring, and later proposed in the Third Ward of Milwaukee last month.
They tie the knot in August at Evergreen Country Club.

They found me on Thumbtack, and when they told me of how they met and what they were doing now, I just had to ask if I could travel to them for an engagement session. Luckily, they didn’t think I was crazy or that it was that crazy of an idea, and so I bought tickets for the following weekend.
We walked all over Boston, close to 4 miles of walking! It was so much fun getting to know both of them and getting introduced to the city of Boston. I would do this again in a heartbeat. :)

East Boston Piers Park

We started the day here, after coffee and doughnuts. I did some research of cool locations and this was number one. It was a very nice, clean park, with a lot of parking on a Saturday. :)

Beacon Hill Boston MA Engagement Photos

After taking a break for lunch at Potbelly, we took a stroll through Harvard Yard. Because, well, why not? Now I can officially say that I was at Harvard. It was pretty bland there, besides the old looking buildings. So we walked around the Beacon Hill neighborhood and found a lot of romantic nooks and crannies, or rather very well up kept ally ways and cobblestone paths.

Public Gardens Boston MA

After Beacon Hill, we took an Uber ride towards the Public Gardens. The Bruins game was just getting out, so traffic was horrendous. We made it part way and then just walked the rest. The public gardens had a tribute to the author of “make way for ducklings”, a book that my mother read to me when I was little. There were some sweet trees in the gardens.

After that, we made it to the Italian part of town and they introduced me to chocolate dipped cannoli’s and a lobster tail pastry. Then we headed to Harpoon Brewery and waited 45-ish minutes to get inside! If you go, try their Camp Wanamango beer, its delicious!

It was a wonderful trip, and I can’t wait for their wedding in August!
