Is it ok to have a favorite wedding? I’m not sure if that’s fair or not, but Katie & Nick made me feel more special than just “another vendor”. They held their Rustic June wedding at the Barn at Windy Pines near Waterloo, WI. It was my first official barn wedding. The ceremony was held in the barn, decorated with sunflowers, burlap, and baby’s breath. There is a gorgeous chandelier hanging from the ceiling and rustic mirrors on the walls. The had a knot ceremony, tying a fisherman’s knot with rope to tie their families and love together. After the ceremony it rained, but we rolled with it and went to The Old Rock in Astigo for some drinks, hanging out and a few photos. When it stopped raining, we took the wedding party out to a park with a bridge not far away.
After going back to the barn for the reception, the sun came out with blue skies. Per the bride’s request, she stood on a round bale with her new husband for photos.
Even though it was sweltering inside the barn for the reception, everyone still enjoyed dancing.
Enjoy the moments, details and “fun” that I captured in photos for Mr. & Mrs. Orchard’s Wedding day. Incase you missed it, you can view Katie & Nick’s engagement session here!
